Welcome back 6M PDF Print E-mail
Welcome back to Term 3!
We have hit the ground running this term, getting stuck into our new unit of work, Savage Earth, straight away! Already we have discovered how the Earth and Moon formed, what the Earth is made of and why our shadows follow us around all day.
We are getting stuck into our first assessment piece now, learning how to write a news article, with our first article clearing up the whole mess about who really sank the boat. Our research has led us to believe that the mouse is not the only one to blame… Stay tuned to find out more.

6M, It's great to be back! PDF Print E-mail
Welcome Back!
We have enjoyed a fantastic first day of term, jumping right into our work at the first bell with a positive and enthusiastic attitude!
Oh, how wonderful it is to be back at school and beginning a brand new term. It was brilliant to see the whole class so eager to hear that our unit this term is called World in Balance. As we work through this unit, students will develop their knowledge and understanding of Biomes, the Earth’s natural resources, human consumption of resources and the importance of maintaining a balance through sustainability. Students will be encouraged to take on the role of environmentalists when working through our unit this term, completing 2 major assessment tasks as well as, attending an exciting excursion planned for June.
The class were also thrilled to learn that they would be able to reorganise our classroom… however, there is (of course) a catch. They have to create an accurate design of the classroom using paper and convince Mrs McKelvey that their design uses the available space more effectively than any other design. It is going to be tricky but we are positive that we will do a great job!
I look forward to a fun and productive term!
