Jindalee State School students from Year 6 and 7 entered short stories in the Independent Education Union Queensland and Northern Territory (IEUA-QNT), the English Teachers Association of Queensland and James Cook University 2013 Literary Competition. The writing pieces that were submitted were of a high quality and reflected the outstanding literacy capabilities of our students. Well done to all of the students who entered. Two of our very talented students, Zoe Dyson and Khushi Shelat, received awards for their written pieces. Khushi Shelat received Third Place in the Section D – Short Story category. Zoe Dyson received a Highly Commended Award in the Section D – Short Story Category. Well done girls!
