Welcome back to another busy term. With the fete, athletics and Voices of ANZAC concert dominating our sporting, cultural and social scenes this term we sure are in for an exciting time.
The start to our term, however, was a sad one. Our thoughts are with the family of Jackson Longwill who sadly passed away during the holidays. Jackson will be missed by his friends and the staff at our school. Since the free dress day for Jackson on Friday a little more money has been sent in and total funds raised came to $1506.85. Karen and Stephen, Jackson’s parents, have asked that a huge thank you be sent out to all of you on their behalf. They are extremely appreciative.
Are you able to give us a hand? At the moment Mr Hacker, our Groundsman, is very busy with maintenance. Our gardens are in desperate need of weeding and cleaning up before we mulch and get ready to plant some new plants in the warmer months. Are you free between 9am and 10.30am or 2pm and 3pm on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday next week? If so we’d love to meet with you at 9am or 2pm at the back of the office and assign you a garden to start on. Please BYO gardening gloves if you normally use them. We will consider a weekend Working Bee if we’re unable to get everything finished during school time.
A reminder there will be a sausage sizzle fundraiser for the Hellmuth and Longwill families this Tuesday 28 July at first break. Sausages in bread will be $2 each.
