Jindalee State School Chaplain, Joshua Green, was very happy on Monday night with the attendance of many of our families at the “Dinner with the Chaplain” night at Jindalee McDonald’s. The night was a great success not just for the funds raised for chaplaincy at our school but also because of the opportunity for a social get-together and the spirit of community that exists at Jindalee.
Mr Green said it was a chance for him to meet parents and to see our students in a setting different from the usual school day. “I was able to make contact with many people I had not met before and talk with them about the students and the pastoral aspects of our school.” The chaplain plays an important role in the lives of our community and is able to support students, parents and staff in their education and personal lives. It is the caring community that exists at Jindalee which is our greatest strength and people helping each other that makes our community stronger. “I wish to thank everyone for their attendance and support on Monday night and look forward to having dinner with you again in the future.” said Mr Green.
