Jindalee State School students participated in the regional Maths Teams Challenge last Friday. Twelve of our top Mathematicians from Year Seven were selected to represent our School at the Metropolitan West Mathematics Teams Challenge held at Indooroopilly State High School.
The challenge involved our team competing against other schools in solving complex mathematical problems. Jindalee teacher and team coach, Mrs Sue Allmond, said “The Jindalee community should be extremely proud of the effort by our students. They were a credit to the school in the way they demonstrated the principles of the ‘Jindalee Way’, particularly with the outstanding level of collaboration with each other and the team. While we did not win a place, we certainly competed extremely well and demonstrated our high level of learning and commitment.”
Congratulations to team members Kael Wetherall, Sara Park, Richa Patel, Bryon Suh, Andrew Tran, Julia Skorina, Winston Ly, Annika McMillan, Emma Hosegood, Khushi Shelat, Mitchell Davie and Jordan Low who represented Jindalee State School at this challenge.
