Dogs on school grounds

Many of us have dogs and we like to think our dogs are safe around children.  Unfortunately, schools are not places where we should allow dogs to demonstrate/test such qualities.  Even if we believe our dogs are placid, we cannot afford the risk of agitation by a child or vise versa.

For this reason and the general safety of all our students, dogs are not permitted on our school grounds, including drop-off and pick-up times.

Regardless of size or temperament, and whether a dog is on or off a leash or carried, no dogs are permitted on the grounds of Jindalee State School.

The only exception to this rule is for Assistance Dogs.  Owners of such dogs are asked to bring their paperwork to the office in the first instance before entering further into the grounds.
