This year we will be holding a Grandparents’ and Special Friends’ Day on Friday 21 October for all classes. There will be a range of activities held in every classroom and across year levels from 9.00am – 10.15am.
These activities will give our grandparents and special friends an opportunity to spend time with the students within their classrooms and engage in their learning activities with them.
In the correspondence sent home in regards to this event, we asked for the students to bring a plate of food to share with their grandparents or special friends at the conclusion of the morning session. As a school, we will be catering for this event and therefore the students are not required to bring a plate of food to share.
As a conclusion to this morning, at 10.30am, there will be some short performances from some of our students which will be held in our school hall that we invite our Grandparents and Special Friends to attend. At the conclusion of the short performances, our Grandparents and Special Friends are invited to remain in the school hall for a shared morning tea.
We ask that parents inform their child’s classroom teacher via email as to whether their child’s grandparent/s or special friend will be attending the morning. We hope to see as many grandparents and special friends as possible as we celebrate our wonderful school and school community.
