Good luck to our Year 3 & 5 students sitting NAPLAN tests this week. Students are aware of the test format and will be sitting the tests in their own classrooms. All we ask of them is that they try their best. Good Luck!
On Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings this week we will be providing a free NAPLAN breakfast for all Year 3 & 5 students. We all know we perform better on a full stomach so we invite any students who would like to grab something to eat to make their way to the tuckshop from 8.30am – 8.45am on any of the three mornings.
The National Assessment Program – Literacy and Numeracy (NAPLAN) is an annual assessment for students in Years 3, 5, 7 and 9. It tests the types of skills that are essential for every child to progress through school and life. The tests cover skills in reading, writing, spelling, grammar and punctuation, and numeracy.
Year 3 and 5 Parents are reminded that NAPLAN testing will take place on the mornings of Tuesday 12 May, Wednesday 13 May and Thursday 14 May. If your child will be absent on any of these days, please ensure you notify the school. There is a facility for students who miss tests to do a catch-up test on Friday 15 May.
NAPLAN Parent Information Brochure was sent to relevant families and can be found on http://www.nap.edu.au/verve/_resources/NAPLAN_2015_Parent_information_brochure_web.pdf
