​January 31st marks the first day of Chinese New Year.

Last weekend, Chinese throughout the world celebrated the Year of the Horse. The festivities typically last for 15 days, filled with family gatherings, food and fun.

In Chinese classes, students will learn about Chinese New Year traditions and make spring mobiles, origami lanterns and red banners to celebrate.
