Tournament of Minds

This is sadly our last Tournament of Minds update for the year. We spent Sunday at Griffith University for the State Competition. We took the Language Literature Team which consisted of Louis H, Jessica B, Jade W, Georgia A, April P, Caitlin B and Bethany M.

This was an incredibly strong and competitive team. Judith and I have both mentioned how much this group has grown as a team over the journey. Unfortunately the team did not place first or second and won't be progressing to the next round.

We received the teams feedback and it was very positive. They did extremely well on their long term challenge and received majority of their marks in the top column. We had parents and teachers from other schools approach us after their performance and comment on how creative and funny they were. They unfortunately did not score so high in their spontaneous challenge and thus will not be going on to the next stage.

Their room supervisor for their three hour long term challenge raved about them and spoke about their manners, humour and their ability to turn anything into a dance party. She said that they were an absolute credit to our school. We humbly agreed!

We are so proud.

Caitlin Pfrunder and Judith Hillman
