The weekend storms gave our local community a battering especially on Sunday afternoon. Along with our neighbours, Jindalee State School suffered severe storm damage in some areas.
Most affected were our year one and three classrooms where hail broke windows and stormwater flooded several classrooms. The old library space and the electronic learning centre also suffered severe water damage with up to twelve computers lost. External air-conditioning units also suffered surface damage from hail.
Repairs are being carried out this week and wet areas are being cleaned and dried. The debris is also being cleared away.
