Parents and citizens
The P&C of Jindalee State School is a group of parents who are focussed on supporting school
programs, raising funds and managing programs run through sub-committees and focus groups. The P&C is increasingly dovetailing its activities with the school to optimise planning and development efforts for the benefit of our students.
Many parents volunteer their support for the school in various ways. The P&C is a group through which many of these activities can be channelled. If you believe you have only limited time or particular areas you can offer support, please approach the P&C to get best use of your valued and valuable time and skills.
The P&C meets on the third Monday of the month during school Terms unless otherwise advised.

Objectives of the Taskforce
In May 2007 a group of parents and staff joined forces to make a difference in the physical amenities of Jindalee State School. Since then, working in partnership with the school, we have funded almost $800,000 worth of projects throughout the school. This has included water bubblers, playground equipment and sports shed on the oval, music staging for music concerts in the hall, shade sales and synthetic grass for our play areas, additional seating, large fans to cool our hall and air conditioning in all of our class rooms. Most recently we have commenced the first stages of extensive furniture refurbishment for our classrooms. (see the link below for further details of our projects)
Congratulations to the team for what has been a very significant amount of work achieved so far. If any of you are interested in becoming involved in this taskforce, or feel you have something to contribute, we welcome your input. Please contact the Jindalee State School P&C email@example.com. You may be able make a difference and help us improve our schools facilities for our children.
Following exhaustive research and consultation which was spanned over five year, in September 2008 the P&C voted to proceed with stage one of the school air-conditioning proposal. This decision was not made lightly and took into consideration the results of an online survey sent out to the wider school community in June 2008, with an overwhelming response of 85% of the 260 responses in favour of proceeding.
We are conscious of the sustainable issues and undertook extensive discussions in the early stages of the project to ensure these issues were considered with the involvement from a member of the Jamboree Heights Sustainability Group, who is also a parent of the school.
The first stage completed in Sept 2008 and the final stage in January 2012. The total cost of this project was approximately $350,000.00 and fully funded by your P&C.
All of our children are now benefiting from the improved conditions and better learning opportunities.
The number of eligible grants are numerous and we are limited only by our resources – i.e. manpower. So we need your help to make the most of the huge amount of money up for grabs. Come on board and join the wonderful group of parents and staff working together to make a difference. Every member of the school who contributes to the P&C fundraising efforts is doing their bit.
